What do you think these are? // Was denkst du, was das ist?

Today I would like to share my excitement with you, when I see our edibles growing. The Mediterranean region is so completely different from the one I grew up in. It's a fantastic journey of discovery for me, especially as a biologist. Have you been to the Mediterranean and how did you experience it?

At the end of February, I unexpectedly drove past fascinating fields in the south of Sardinia and tried to stop our motorhome at the next available opportunity so that I could admire one in peace. On a driveway of dirt road that was just big enough, I backed in and soon after was standing close to that field. 

A gentleman came out from behind the bushes, that probably separated two fields. I could see that there was a car, too. I waved, said hello and indicated that I just wanted to take a few pictures. He smiled and waved back. All was well, and so I approached the beauties that were growing in front of me.
